It's been a long time since I've done a style watch. Mostly because I've been busy with academia, so in the next couple weeks I'll hit y'all up with a few.

My first pick will be the lovely PLEDIS ladies of Orange Caramel with Catallena! Artist: Orange Caramel Promotion Period: Catallena General Style: Quirky Retro
First! Here is the music video for the lovely Catallena. It's super cute and the members dress up as different sorts of sushi!

Most of the outfits in the video are really cute and mostly focus on cute prints (especially polka dots) and bright, distinct colors.

This set is a personal favorite! I really like how they overlay polka dots with a sheer polka-dotted shift. It adds dimension to an otherwise quite two-dimensional print.

With their promotional images, you can see how it's definitely okay to layer polka dots upon polka dots. However, here are a couple tips that'll help make this easier to use in everyday wear.

1. If you want to wear lots of polka dots, try pieces that have various sizes and spacing of the dots. Having one on top of the other won't make it look like you're a sofa cover.

2. If you're still a bit tentative with polka-dots as a whole, you can work one bold piece into your outfit.

The Orange Caramel girls wear much more than just polka dots!

They also emphasize a lot on bold, cute, prints!

Sometimes they mix prints with polka dots.

Now, these outfits may be a bit too bold for some of us in our everyday wear, but it does not mean you can't take an elements from it into your own wardrobe!

Style colors: A bright variety!

Don't be scared to try prints together. Vary size, color, and texture of pieces and the patterns can often blend seamlessly into each other. You don't know if it's good or bad until you try it, so be sure to give pattern-mixing a shot!

For some ideas on how you could bring polka-dots and bright patterns into your own everyday wear:

Honestly, I find the style quite reminiscent of some of Miu miu's current and past collections, but we let's look at some alternatives. First? Polka dots!

Try a romper or a dress.

If you want a piece that you could work with other prints, try a polka dot skirt or a polka dot blouse.

Polka dots in a more unique way? Try stockings or a snapback! (I have both, they're awesome)

Here's a dress that strays a bit from the candy and fruit theme from Orange Caramel, but I think is quite marvelous if you want to delve into more statement dresses.

What about polka-dot shoes? I love polka-dot shoes. Shoes can make or break an outfit and these shoes are absolutely adorable.
For accessories, you could definitely look into bright hair pieces!

Orange Caramel's new music video for Catallena is so cute! 1 up for the sushi theme, it was super fun and easy to watch.

This is hands down the weirdest find of my life. I "found" this because my friend owns these... and left them in my house.
Raina's hair accessories are actually pop fun kitchen color アイテムスマイル SI series! They're cooking chopsticks from Japan.

Golden rainbow all the way.

After School's UEE is going to be in another drama, this time it is MBC's Golden Rainbow co-starring Jung Il Woo and others. It is about seven orphans and it seems interesting. I won't watch it because I have never finished watching a Kdrama. Nevertheless, all the best to UEE's new acting endeavour.

UEE's dress at the Golden Rainbow press conference is by Elizabeth and James. It looks boring and lazy. At least UEE looks good in it even though she did not show the best feature of the frock - the back. You can buy the Elizabeth and James Mara dress here. The strappy shoes makes up for the dress. Why? It is a collaboration between two Korean brands - Suecomma Bonnie and Fleamadonna with the POP Collaboration. Fleamadonna names this pair Black Breath, it is available here.

Dang what is this trend of wearing Elizabeth and James to these photo-op things. They have that sponsoring money and momentum down huh?

Kpop stars are famous fashionistas. They pick up on trends and take them to the next level. The stripes trend is no different. Groups coordinated different colors, sizes, and orientation of stripes, and they became a staple in 2013 Kpop fashion.

First let's start with the battle between Brown Eyed Girls's Narsha (click here to view the post) and SISTAR's Dasom.

Next we have a triple battle between Jewelry' Semi(click here) ,Kara's Jiyoung and After School's Jooyeon.

They all wore the Deki cut tiger print t-shirt from LAP.

Semi wore it in Jewelry's 'Hot&Cold' MV ,Jiyoung wore it in Kara's 'Thank you summer love' PV and Jooyeon wore it for After School's 130714 'First love' performance at Inkigayo.

F(x) has been making their rounds promoting their new song Rum Pum Pum Pum, and recently had a very live performance on M! Countdown. I really admire artists for being able to dance and sing at the same time.

First up, we have Sulli, she's wearing Carven Printed Popelin Sleeveless Dress in Multi and Cotton Collar in white. I don't have an available buylink for the exact collar but you can check out here for the same collar in sky blue.

Here's a more niche trend that many idols embraced for their comebacks.

You can probably tell by the title that this trend is 'hand-painted jackets'.

These jackets don't necessarily need to be painted upon. Some just give off that often 'hard leather' feel. They also give individuality to the wearer or association to their concept, group or song. The association of hand-painted jackets goes to leather or biker jackets. However, it is proven other types of jackets can work, such as denim jacket or vests, blazers, hoodies, bombers and even if willing to...le smoking jacket.
